One of the key aspects of the socio-economic program for the Vitebsk region for 2026-2030 is the development of tourism potential.
Tourism development in the Vitebsk region is a key driver of the economy and socio-cultural revival of the regions.
It ensures the inflow of investments, the creation of new jobs in related industries (such as hotels, transport, public catering), and also stimulates the preservation of the rich historical and cultural heritage and the unique nature of the Belarusian Lake District. Based on proposals from regional and city executive committees, the Committee for State Property compiled a list of unused state property objects this year that may be of interest to investors for tourism development. Of these, 8 objects have already found new owners. Currently, 108 unused objects are still being offered. They can be viewed on the committee's website https://vitoblim.by/property/invest.tourism.pdf
Investors may be interested in unused facilities of the "Rudakovo" enterprise located on the shore of Lake Vymno, near the regional center. This is one of the largest lakes in the Vitebsk region, stretching for 3 km. The lake is located just 20 km from Vitebsk. Among the facilities offered here is a two-story club building (Vymno village, Vitebskaya St., 23) with a total area of 716 sq. m. The distance from it to the lake is only 70 meters. This facility may also be of interest for recreation for citizens from Russia, as it is about 12 kilometers from the border with the Russian Federation. The facility is currently being prepared for sale and will soon be put up for auction. Two adjacent buildings, an administrative building and a public service building, each with an area of over 200 sq. m., have already been put up for auction by the committee. Moreover, they are offered with an 80% reduction in the sale price. More than 70 auctions are scheduled for June, including facilities on Lake Vymno.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the committee has already conducted 48 successful auctions. This has not only helped to utilize unused state property for regional development but also replenished the state budget by 1.4 million rubles.
