A local historian from the Lepel district donated his new book to the Presidential Library
Teachers and students of the Sloboda Secondary School named after N.M. Pshyonko in the Lepel district made an educational trip to the capital, during which they visited the House of Government and the Presidential Library.
The visit to the House of Government was a unique opportunity for the children to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of legislative activities. The participants of the meeting showed great interest in the current exhibition dedicated to the work of the House of Representatives, visited the Oval Hall, and learned about the specifics of the deputies' work and the draft laws under consideration. The guests were particularly impressed by the multi-vector nature of the House of Representatives' activities and the intensity of the deputies' working days. The trip allowed the schoolchildren to feel like a part of the country's political life and expand their knowledge of the state power structure.
As part of the educational program, teachers and children visited the Presidential Library, where an equally interesting and informative excursion awaited them.
A special moment of the visit was the presentation of his new book "Zamoshshye. History of the Village and Surroundings" to the Presidential Library by Valery Tukhto, a history teacher at Sloboda Secondary School and an avid local historian. Valery Vladimirovich is a renowned researcher of his native region's history, and his works already hold a worthy place in the library's collections.
– Valery Tukhto is a person devoted to the Belarusian land and his native region, a talented researcher who not only actively engages in research work but also involves his students in it, – noted Viktor Azaronok, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. - The results of his research and investigative work can be explored not only in the pages of his published books but also by visiting the school museum, which can rightfully be called a true living encyclopedia of the Lepel region during the Great Patriotic War.
