The month of safe working conditions in the winter period will be held from January 14 to February 13, 2026

To prevent accidents and extraordinary emergencies in the Vitebsk region, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, A.M. Subbotin, signed the order "On ensuring safe working conditions in the winter period" on January 9, 2026.

 The document states that the chairmen of district and city executive committees, heads of state bodies, organizations, and economic entities are instructed to carry out a set of measures from January 14 to February 13, 2026, aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, preventing and warning against accidents, with particular attention to preventing the adverse effects of low temperatures at workplaces, increasing labor productivity and work capacity. 

 Under personal responsibility, heads are instructed to organize work on clearing snow and ice from roofs of houses and buildings, territories, and communication routes; ensure timely gritting of territories with anti-icing agents; conduct inspections of ventilation systems and heat curtains. In case of detection of facilities in a state of disrepair or posing a danger to others, their operation must be immediately suspended. 

Representatives of control and supervisory bodies are instructed to intensify efforts to stop violations of labor protection legislation, paying attention to compliance with the requirements of Directive No. 1 regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages in work collectives.
