From employment to major repairs. We found out what issues were raised at the meeting with Alexander Subbotin in Vitebsk
For example, residents of the apartment building No. 22, building 3 on Frunze Avenue approached the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee with a number of problems. During a personal meeting with citizens, they raised issues related to major repairs and the sanitary condition of the building, as well as the improvement of the adjacent territory.
The building, constructed in 1998, has fallen into a unsatisfactory condition over the past 12 years. Residents have repeatedly contacted Housing and Maintenance Office-1 with complaints about roof leaks, deterioration of the facade, lack of a ramp in entrance No. 6, as well as problems with hot water supply and unsanitary conditions of garbage chutes, leaks, and lack of light in the basements.
– We hoped that the major repairs, which began in September last year, would solve these problems, – said one of the residents. – However, important elements such as standing seam roofing and parapets were not taken into account, which led to further deterioration of the building's condition.
The Chairman of the City Executive Committee, Alexey Geroev, reported that the dismantling of the roof has already begun. All major repair work, with the exception of postponed items, was completed on time.
– You contacted me on the "direct line" with these issues, we allocated additional funding and included the facility in the current repairs, – he explained.
Alexander Subbotin emphasized that solving the problems with the basements is a common city task, and a city program "Basement" is already being implemented in Vitebsk, aimed at replacing worn-out engineering networks.
– We are determined to help solve your problem. No one is evading responsibility, – he added. – The issues will be considered, and the relevant services will try to do everything possible to eliminate the shortcomings.
