15.06.2026

How many "multi-hundred-point scorers" are there in the region? Which schools and gymnasiums became absolute leaders? And by how much did our graduates surpass the national averages? Preliminary results of the main examination campaign of the year were discussed at the Media Center of the Vitebsk Region.

The Centralized Exam (CE) in the Vitebsk region proceeded as planned, showing that over the four years of this format's existence, the implementation mechanism has been refined to perfection. Vladimir Bednyakov, Head of the General Education Department of the Main Department of Education of the Regional Executive Committee, spoke about the details of the examination campaign, leaders among districts, and impeccable logistics.

– This year, the average CE score in the Vitebsk region rose to 66 (last year – 65.6). For almost all academic disciplines, except for physics and chemistry, the results of our students were higher than the national averages. The most successful subject was the Russian language – here the average score exceeded 70, – noted Vladimir Bednyakov. – Traditionally high results are shown by gymnasiums in the regional center and large cities, however, there are also pleasant surprises from the provinces among the leaders. The top 10 educational institutions based on CE results include Vitebsk Gymnasiums No. 2 and No. 1 named after J. Alferov, Polotsk Gymnasium No. 2, and the top ten leaders also include Novopolotsk Secondary School named after G. Tsvitovich, Vitebsk Gymnasium No. 5 named after I. Ludnikov, Borkovichi Secondary School of the Verkhnedvinsk district, Novopolotsk Gymnasium No. 2, Orsha Secondary School No. 3 named after V. Korotkevich, Vitebsk Gymnasium No. 3 named after A. Pushkin.

The main reason for pride is the increase in maximum results. If last year there were 185 "hundred-pointers" in the Vitebsk region, this season the region's treasury has been replenished with 239 certificates with a score of 100.

– The leaders in training the intellectual elite were: Gymnasium No. 2 of Vitebsk – 22 results with a score of 100; Gymnasium No. 8 of Vitebsk – 17 results; Vitebsk Gymnasiums No. 3 named after A. Pushkin and No. 7 named after P. Kondratenko – 10 results each; Gymnasium No. 1 of Vitebsk named after Zh. Alferov – 9 results; Gymnasium No. 1 of Orsha named after G. Semyonov and Secondary School No. 20 of Orsha named after I. Flerov – 6 results each, – the speaker stated. – A special triumph is celebrated by 19 graduates who have won two certificates with a score of 100 each. The geography is extensive – Vitebsk, Orsha, Novopolotsk, Chashniki, Miory, Ushachi, Postavy, Sharkovshchina. By the way, this statistic does not include winners of republican subject Olympiads who are exempt from the CE.

This year's results have clearly demonstrated the high standard of quality of Vitebsk education.

Konstantin Kiselev, Director of Gymnasium No. 2 of Vitebsk, is convinced that the quality of an educational institution's work should be judged not by certificates with a score of 100, but by the average score of all graduates. And this indicator for the gymnasium students has been steadily growing from year to year.

– Our formula for success is based on two pillars: the creative freedom of teachers and the discipline of students. Our teachers have their own methods to create a working atmosphere in lessons. On the other hand, we demand strict discipline from high school students: if a gymnasium student is assigned to work through a complex topic or complete a task, it must be done without compromise, – said Konstantin Kiselev. – Before taking the real CE, each of our graduates takes mock testing at least seven times: three times in the 10th grade, three times in the 11th grade, and at the unified republican mock testing in January. We analyze the results in detail, identify weak points, and address them specifically. After such training, the child goes to the exam calm – the entire procedure is familiar to them down to the smallest detail.

The gymnasium director is convinced that every educational institution is obliged to prepare children in such a way that they do not need the help of tutors.

– The level of our staff and the established system allow us to guarantee that if a child comes to us in the 10th grade and conscientiously fulfills all the teachers' requirements, they will pass the exam with a decent result and enter the desired university without any tutors, – he stated.
