To make the region exemplary – such a directive was given to the new head of the Orsha district

Сделать регион образцовым – такое поручение прозвучало для нового главы Оршанского района

At an extraordinary session of the District Council of Deputies, attended by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Rogozhnik, and the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Vladimir Yurgevich, the new head of the Orsha District, Leonid Moizhik, was introduced.

Previously, he held the position of Director of the Orsha Tool Plant. Leonid Moizhik is characterized as a responsible, proactive leader, distinguished by a high degree of organization and a systematic approach to work.

At the session, the deputies unanimously approved his candidacy. The head of the region solemnly presented the certificate to the new leader.

It is worth recalling that on the eve of this, the Head of the Administration of the President of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy stated: the Orsha District is an industrial one, with industrial enterprises accounting for 60% of the district's economy.

– 3 billion rubles have been invested in the district under a relevant program that was implemented from 2018 to 2023. The current industrial dynamics of enterprises are not entirely what was laid down in the business plans and what should be. Therefore, a decision was made to strengthen the district's leadership with a person who has proven his effectiveness at an industrial facility, – explained Dmitry Krutoy. According to him, Leonid Moizhik meets these criteria.

In his speech, already as the head of the region, he outlined a number of tasks that need to be addressed in the very near future.

Among the priority tasks are the President's current requirements to make the Orsha District exemplary in the implementation of agricultural technologies and the organization of agriculture, to increase industrial production volumes, and to bring it to a qualitatively new level.

Words of gratitude were expressed to Igor Moroz, who had headed the district until now.

Leonid Moyzhik was born in 1984 in the Minsk region. He graduated from the Belarusian National Technical University and the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus. He began his career at the Minsk Tractor Works. He rose from a CNC machine operator to the deputy head of mechanical workshop No. 1 for technical matters. In 2019, he became the chief engineer of OJSC "Orsha Tool Plant", and in 2023, he took charge of it.
