"Parade of Generations", military parade, song flash mob. What else is planned for Victory Day in Vitebsk?

The festive events will start at 10:00 AM from Lenin Square. From here, the "Parade of Generations" will move along Lenin Street to Victory Square. The Vitebsk Garrison troops parade, which will include cadets, along with military equipment, will also reach the city's central square along Chernyakhovsky Avenue. This will be followed by the laying of wreaths and flowers at the memorial complex in honor of the Soviet soldiers-liberators, partisans, and underground fighters of the Vitebsk region, and a rally. From 11:30 AM, a concert program by brass bands will be held here.

On the other side of Victory Square, creative groups will perform until the evening, and from 7:00 PM, spectators can enjoy rock hits. Next to the stage, the interactive exhibition "Three Stories About War," game and sports areas, and a military equipment exhibition will be open.

At major city venues, such as in the Medtsentr and Bilevo microdistricts, and at the Soviet Army Cultural and Recreational Complex, the mobile propaganda team will present the program "Our Victorious Spring."

A chalk drawing contest will be held for young Vitebsk residents. They will be able to depict "Victory May" from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on the site near the Museum of Modern Art.

At 12:00 PM, all lovers of active recreation are invited to join the "Heart of Vitebsk" athletics race along the route Victory Square – Kalinin Street – Zamkovaya Street – Frunze Avenue to the Vitebsk embankment and back.

In the courtyard of the regional museum of Hero of the Soviet Union M. F. Shmyrev, at 12:00 PM, the play "Soldiers" will be shown outdoors. Throughout the day, the exhibition "Partisan Portrait" will be displayed here.

Film screenings on military themes will take place in Studenchesky Square and in the courtyard of the regional museum of local lore.

Representatives of the golden age are invited to the "May Waltz" near the fountain in Frunze Park from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Children and adults will find active entertainment in Victory Park, where attractions and outdoor cafes will be open.

For the first time, an evening concert will be held on Victory Square at the memorial complex, where creative groups of the city will perform hits of the war years. Everyone is invited here at 9:00 PM. Five minutes before the colorful festive fireworks, at 10:55 PM, artists and spectators will be able to take part in a flash mob – jointly perform the song "Victory Day".
