"Thank you for your patience and love!" Alexander Subbotin awarded women of the Vitebsk region on Mother's Day
On Mother's Day, 11 women from the Vitebsk region were awarded the Order of Motherhood, and 25 received the regional executive committee's award named after Hero of the Soviet Union Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, congratulating the representatives of the fair sex, noted the importance of a mother in the destiny of every person.
"I want to express my admiration for your difficult but noble work," said Alexander Subbotin. "Thank you for your patience and love that you give to your children, thereby shaping the country we have. My deepest bow to you from all men. Today we honored large families, of which there are more than 12 thousand in our region alone. Behind them is enormous work! Perhaps this is a labor feat that is difficult to describe and difficult to imagine for those who have not been involved in it. Therefore, a huge thank you to them, patience and health. May everything work out both at home and at work. Traditionally, about 7 thousand mothers become mothers again annually, of which about a hundred give birth to twins. And this is wonderful. The importance of the calling to be a mother and to give love and kindness is emphasized by the awarding of the regional prize named after Hero of the Soviet Union Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko and the high state award – the Order of Motherhood. This year, 37 Orders of Motherhood were awarded to women from the Vitebsk region. Their total number is already 1145.
Among the awardees are housewives, ordinary workers, and heads of departments of enterprises in various sectors, teachers, medical and social workers. All of them are successful in their activities, many have realized themselves not only as mothers and wives, but also in creative pursuits, business, and are in demand in production. This has become possible thanks to the socially oriented policy of the Republic of Belarus. Our country ranks 25th in the rating of the most comfortable countries for motherhood and is among the top 50 countries in the world for pregnancy management and childbirth organization.
Support for families with children is a priority of our state's social policy. Thus, taking into account the needs of large families, the possibility of early disposal of family capital funds is provided. For 9 months of this year in the Vitebsk region, 789 decisions of district executive committees on early disposal of family capital funds have been made, including: 699 for the construction (reconstruction), acquisition of housing, repayment of loans, 56 for obtaining education, 34 for obtaining medical services.
This year, 37 mothers of large families have already been awarded the Order of Mother for the birth and upbringing of five or more children. In total, 1145 mothers in the Vitebsk region have been awarded this high state award. Since the establishment of the regional executive committee prize named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko, over 600 women have been awarded it.
