In the Glubokoye district, the implementation of Directive No. 7 on the development of housing and communal services is being discussed
The event reviewed the progress of implementing Presidential Directive No. 7, aimed at improving housing and communal services.
Several issues were put on the agenda:
-
- repair of the housing stock, especially in rural areas;
-
- development of centralized water supply and provision of drinking water to the population;
-
- implementation of a separate waste collection system.
"Housing and communal services are not just a sphere of services, they are the basis for the comfortable life of every person and an indicator of the effectiveness of local authorities," emphasized Natalya Kochanova. She noted that citizens' appeals concerning housing and communal services constitute the lion's share of all appeals received by the Council of the Republic.
The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus also stressed the importance of ensuring high-quality drinking water for all residents of the country, especially for rural settlements. During the working meeting, attention was focused on the need for constant monitoring and control of the water supply system.
"The quality of water consumed by our residents must be under control," stated Natalya Kochanova.
She called on the responsible services to regularly take water samples and check its quality, even in the absence of appeals from citizens.
Special attention was also paid to rural residents. Natalya Kochanova recalled the President's words about the unacceptability of a dismissive attitude towards people, especially those living in rural areas.
"You cannot offend people. The President says this many times: do not offend people, especially in rural areas, they are the salt of the earth," she emphasized.
