The 2nd Republican Ice Hockey Tournament of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has started in Orsha

Today, the II Republican tournament of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in hockey started in Orsha. The official start of the sports battles in the Ice Arena was the ceremony of the first symbolic puck drop.

During the grand opening of the tournament, the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Maxim Subbota, wished everyone good luck and brilliant victories. The Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Igor Moroz, noted that it is a great honor for the region to host a tournament of this level.
– Sport, like service in the internal affairs bodies, requires courage, strength of spirit, and the will to win. I am sure that these competitions will be a real celebration not only for the participants but also for all the fans, and will also give us a bright and fair game, – said the head of the district.

On the eve of the opening, high-ranking guests laid flowers at the Kurgan of Immortality, honoring the memory of the heroes.

The first match was played by the teams of the Departments of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk and Minsk Regional Executive Committees. It ended with a score of 10:0 in favor of the Vitebsk team.

The final games, which will determine the strongest, will be held on March 13.
