On May 9, at 12:00 PM, a nationwide minute of silence will be observed in Belarus in memory of the feat of the people during the Great Patriotic War.

The mournful echo of a metronome and the melody of a requiem will be broadcast on TV and radio, and heard in streets, squares, and other public places.

A bell toll will sound in all churches, and signal horns will sound on transport, with traffic halted in some places.
