В светлый праздник Пасхи Дмитрий Демидов поздравил католических верующих в кафедральном костеле Иисуса Милосердного в Витебске
On April 20, Easter services are held in Catholic churches and Orthodox churches of Belarus: this year, Catholics and Orthodox Christians celebrate the Bright Resurrection of Christ on the same day.

On the bright holiday of Easter, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov visited the Cathedral of the Divine Mercy and met with the Bishop of the Vitebsk Diocese Oleg Butkevich.

– Easter is a great holiday when we can partake in God's grace. It is symbolic that today Christians of Belarus celebrate this day together. Different denominations in our country coexist peacefully; may this peace and harmony always reign in our land, – noted Oleg Butkevich.

Dmitry Demidov emphasized that his family has representatives of both Catholic and Orthodox faiths and traditionally celebrates both Catholic and Orthodox Easter.

- Today, all Christians celebrate the great holiday of the Lord's Resurrection, which laid the foundations for the traditions of love, humanism, mercy, philanthropy, and forgiveness inherent in the Belarusian people, and thanks to which they preserve their identity and overcome all trials that have befallen their destiny. Nature itself rejoices on this day, and people celebrate this great event with a special sense of joy. I want to wish everyone health, goodness, joy, and love, and for people in our country to always live in peace and harmony, - noted the head of the region's deputy corps.
