A solemn meeting of the university council dedicated to the university's anniversary was held at VSU

The first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, Vladimir Pertsov, took part in the solemn meeting of the university council dedicated to the anniversary of PSU Masherov Vitebsk State University.

The first deputy head of the Presidential Administration read out the congratulatory address of the head of state.

– On my own behalf, I want to wish our native university, first and foremost, to remain as successful as it is, to maintain its leading position among all universities in the Republic of Belarus, which is generally happening now, – noted Vladimir Pertsov. – Coming here, I observe with pleasure the wonderful conditions in which students study, the sports facilities, living conditions, leisure areas, and amateur performance venues available here.

The first deputy head of the administration emphasized that the university is successfully coping with the export of services, as evidenced by the large number of foreign students studying here.

– It is also important that foreign students feel comfortable, like at home, receive education, absorb Belarusian culture, our mentality, and, upon returning to their homeland, will be promoters of our ideas, reliable partners in business, political relations, and humanitarian ties, – said Vladimir Pertsov.

During the solemn meeting of the university council, PSU Masherov Vitebsk State University Rector Valentina Bogatyreva presented the famous graduate with the university's badge of honor "For Distinction".

Festive events dedicated to the 115th anniversary of PSU Masherov Vitebsk State University are being held these days in the regional center.

The program for the second day includes an open lecture by the scientific director of the Institute of Socio-Political Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V. Okrepilov, and Doctor of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science Institute of Socio-Political Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor A. Shmatko.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus, Bakhtovar Safarzoda, took part in the work of the dialogue platform held at the university.

The opening of the laboratory of technical graphics and methods of teaching drawing took place in academic building No. 4 of PSU Masherov Vitebsk State University.

Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin took part in the solemn meeting of the university council dedicated to the anniversary of VSU named after P. Masherov.
The head of the regional authority wished the staff of teachers and students to develop, maintain the high bar that the university has already reached, and grow with new specialties, faculties, interesting projects, and scientific research.

– Vitebsk State University largely helps to solve our personnel issues. New specialties are opening here. And looking at the stand with photographs of honorary graduates, one can understand what kind of personnel are forged within these walls, – said Alexander Subbotin. – The guys who study here always help in ideological events, perform with concerts, and provide assistance to the agro-industrial complex. They don't need to be asked, they offer their help themselves, so it is invaluable. In such an atmosphere of mutual assistance, true citizens, true patriots who are ready to help in any situation are raised.
During the solemn meeting of the university council, VSU Rector Valentina Bogatyreva presented Alexander Subbotin with the university's badge of honor "For Merit" in gratitude for supporting all the best initiatives of the university.
