A trading house for the sale of Uzbek goods was opened in Vitebsk

The Trading House of Uzbekistan officially opened on July 13 at 8 Moskovsky Prospekt. The event took place within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Vitebsk and Andijan regions.

The celebration was attended by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Rogozhnik, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Anzhelika Nikitina, Head of the Main Department of Trade and Services of the Regional Executive Committee, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Irina Levkovich. The guests included the Hokim of the Andijan region of Uzbekistan Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus Rahmatulla Nazarov, and others.

The Uzbek side presented its exclusive "bread and salt" to the guests – a rich display of southern aromatic fruits, and held a tasting of ripe watermelons and melons, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and grapes grown on the generous Uzbek land.

Then, an introduction to the facility took place, where textile and garment products, footwear, tableware, household appliances, souvenirs, and other products from Uzbekistan will be sold in a retail space of 100 square meters.

In the future, as noted, the range of goods will be expanded.

– I have been in your beautiful country for five years now and I know that Belarusians really love our fruits and vegetables, – said the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus Rakhmatulla Nazarov. – After the constructive dialogue between the heads of our states, we are already seeing its results today. The Andijan region, with the help of the Belarusian side, has organized a trading house. Vitebsk will serve as an example for us to organize the same presentation of our products in all regions and in Minsk. I think there will be demand, and accordingly, supplies will enter a full-scale channel.

Our economies do not compete with each other, they complement each other, the ambassador emphasized. For example, Belarusian dairy products and meat products are highly valued in Uzbekistan.
– A rather significant event took place today – we opened the Trading House of Uzbek Goods in Vitebsk, – emphasized Irina Levkovich. – These are goods produced by enterprises of the Andijan region – a fairly wide range of light industry products, primarily clothing, footwear, children's goods, a fairly wide range of food products, and beverages. A wonderful assortment of fruits is presented. Therefore, I am sure that the facility will be attractive to both residents of the city and its guests. In the future, I think we will expand its area, as well as the range of goods.
