The third working semester – 2025 has been launched in the Vitebsk region
– Every year, the demand for summer labor among youth is growing. Active, energetic guys are eager to do something with their own hands, benefit the state, and help people. It is important that they learn to earn money through their labor, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, head of the regional operational headquarters of student detachments. – This year, about 220 organizations are ready to hire student detachment members, where they will gain experience, learn labor discipline, and, one might say, enter adult life.
Vyacheslav Durnov presented vouchers for a working summer to the territorial headquarters of the region and distinguished student detachments, wishing the guys not only to spend their time productively but also to find true friends and allies in their professional endeavors.
Members of the "Phoenix" pedagogical detachment named after Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Azonchik will go to work on the Black Sea coast this summer at the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" in the Krasnodar Territory.
– We have been eagerly awaiting the start of the working summer. This is not only an opportunity to earn money but also a chance to contribute to the development of our country, – shared Yana Moroz, the detachment's commissioner. – Our students work not only in Belarus but also abroad. For example, at "Orlyonok," we work as counselors, educating the younger generation. We are pleased that the guys from Vitebsk are always highly anticipated there, and people ask: "Has 'Phoenix' arrived yet?"
The student construction squad "Zodchiye" from Novopolotsk has international construction projects "Sever" in Yakutia and "Kuzbass" behind them. This year, the fighters will go to the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project in Minsk, where they are building the National Historical Museum and the Park of People's Unity.
– Our construction squad is named after the founder of Novopolotsk and the leader of the Komsomol movement, Pyotr Ivanovich Blokhin. Last year, we took the banner of the best student squad in the country. This year, our goal is to confirm that we are the best in our work, – noted the squad commissar Daria Tsygulko. – We have ten ambitious guys on our team. For us, the labor semester is also about new acquaintances, cultural, patriotic campaigns, and events.
According to Zhanna Naritsyna, the first secretary of the regional committee of the BRSM, it is planned to employ about 7.5 thousand young men and women this summer as part of pedagogical, construction, agricultural, service, production, medical, and environmental student squads.
– The awarding of vouchers for the labor summer is always a long-awaited event. The guys will work on international, republican, and regional projects. We are making every effort to ensure that everyone is employed as part of student squads, – emphasized Zhanna Naritsyna. – The fighters will work in all directions, especially in the Year of Improvement. Already today, participants in the opening of the regional labor semester will join a labor campaign and improve Vitebsk – this will include playgrounds and the Park of the 30th Anniversary of the Komsomol, where over 700 seedlings and flowers will be planted.
The youth leader of the Vitebsk region also announced that on August 1, the Day of Belarusian Student Squads will be held, where those who have already worked on the virgin lands will share their impressions with those who are yet to go to work in agricultural squads in the autumn.
A special place in "Labor Summer – 2025" will be occupied by the regional youth construction project at the Novopolotsk regional complex for solid municipal waste management. A total of 60 students will work at the facility over the summer, and the first student teams will start their work in June.
The first BRSM smart tickets were also presented to students from Vitebsk Gymnasium No. 1 named after J. Alferov.
