The application process for civil initiative projects has started in the Vitebsk region!

We invite you to come forward with initiatives aimed at developing the territory, improving the quality of life of the population, and enhancing the amenities of settlements.

Citizens who have **reached the age of 18** and reside within the territory of the respective administrative-territorial unit are eligible to participate.

The deadline for submitting projects is **January 31, 2026**.

Implementation of initiatives will take place **during 2026**.

Projects should be sent to the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies:

• in hard copy to the address: 6 Gogol St., office 207, Vitebsk, 210010;

• or via e-mail to: osd@vitobl.by with the subject line "Civil Initiative Project" (in PDF format).

An application must be attached to the project, containing information about the initiator: surname, given name, patronymic, date of birth, place of residence, and contact details.

Projects that pass preliminary review will be admitted to an open competitive selection, which will be conducted by the Vitebsk Regional Association of Local Councils of Deputies.

When evaluating applications, the competition commission will consider:

• the relevance and justification of the initiative,

• the thoughtfulness of actions and realism of execution,

• the expected social, economic, and environmental impact,

• the involvement of local authorities, organizations, and citizens,

• innovative approaches, etc.

Winners of the competition will receive financial support for the implementation of their projects, provided that the initiator ensures co-financing of at least 10% of the requested amount.
