Two new facilities were presented on the day of the final meeting of the main healthcare department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. A new MRI machine and an electronic queue system were opened at the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital in the reception area.
"The innovation makes the work of employees more convenient and creates comfort for patients. In general, the regional hospital has been updated step by step recently," noted the chief physician of the regional hospital, Evgeny Matusevich. "This primarily concerns modern medical equipment. The new magnetic resonance imaging machine was obtained within the framework of a Chinese loan for re-equipping our institutions with medical equipment. This is one of the most modern machines that allows visualizing almost all areas of the human body and offers new examination capabilities. The machine has a built-in artificial intelligence function that allows detailing small defects in various diseases, and today we have the opportunity to fully examine our patients with a wide range of pathologies. In addition to the magnetic resonance imaging machine, we were the first among the hospitals in the Vitebsk region and the city of Vitebsk to implement an electronic queue system in the reception area. This allows optimizing patient flows, improving interaction between medical staff and patients, and reducing waiting time in the emergency room. In the near future, the institution plans to continue improving its technological park. Within the framework of the Chinese loan, washing and disinfection machines, stands for fibrogastroduodenoscopy, which allow examining the gastrointestinal tract in patients, as well as a whole range of ultrasound equipment have been procured. All this will primarily increase the accessibility and quality of care for patients.
The key capabilities of the magnetic resonance tomograph combine fast operation with high image quality: examinations of the central nervous system, musculoskeletal system, abdominal cavity, heart, and blood vessels using artificial intelligence.
For patients, the high-tech equipment is convenient due to the wide tunnel, which reduces the feeling of claustrophobia, and the Qscan technology significantly reduces the level of acoustic noise.
The tomograph is suitable for spectroscopic studies and contrast-enhanced studies, making it a versatile solution for large diagnostic centers.
