It's never too late to learn
In September of the current year, employees of the regional prosecutor's office for combating corruption and organized crime actively participated in a series of seminars for management and specialists in the energy sector of the region, held at the training center of RUP "Vitebskenergo", with explanations of the requirements of anti-corruption legislation.
For example, on 04.09.2019, E.A. Lapkovsky, Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime, emphasized the need for strict compliance with anti-corruption legislation during the seminar. In the course of a dialogue, the prosecutor answered numerous questions from the attendees (more than 100 officials from the "Vitebskenergo" system participated in the seminar), thoroughly covering the practical aspects of applying certain provisions of anti-corruption legislation.
On 11.09.2019, K.V. Shienok, Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime, familiarized the seminar participants with the practice of prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of anti-corruption legislation, focusing on the most typical violations identified by prosecutors during inspections.
On 25.09.2019, V.V. Larkova, a prosecutor of the said department, explained to the attendees (members of anti-corruption commissions and tender committees) the specific requirements of anti-corruption legislation in the procurement of goods (works, services), reviewing examples of specific violations identified during inspections and the consequences of their commission.
