During a personnel day, Nikolai Sherstnev urged enterprise managers to meet economic indicators as the main requirement of management in modern conditions

What is the outlook for the agricultural enterprise "Stepanovichi" in the Gorodok district? In a remote farm with vast low-fertility land, finances have long been in dire straits – not a single production indicator is pleasing. What to do with the loss-making enterprise – liquidate or rehabilitate?

With this question, the chairman of the regional executive committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, addressed the head of the economics and accounting department of the agriculture and food department of the Gorodok district executive committee, Kristina Lykholat. The department must now clearly decide how to act to help the sinking enterprise.

- There is a labor collective, and we need to adapt to it, - believes the chairman of the regional executive committee. – People need to be given the opportunity to work and earn a salary. A reset of all economic activities is required, and in this case, rehabilitation gives the peasants a chance to try to organize unprofitable work. It is important to write a business plan for achieving solvency.

The new director of KUSHP "Stepanovichi", Viktor Dubovets, will have to start from scratch – to write the farm's labor biography with new ink, calculator in hand.

The young director of OAO "Belaya Lipa" of the Sennensky district, Dmitry Ludchik, will also have to solve practical problems. So far, he has not answered the questions of the chairman of the regional executive committee with complete confidence: what does the head of this enterprise need to focus on from the very first days? Yes, the priority is milk and meat production. If we specify the first steps of the new manager, it is necessary to uncover reserves for increasing milk yield and improving milk quality, and to work on increasing the average daily weight gain of cattle. And for this, it is necessary to improve animal feeding.

Konstantin Shkeltin has been the director of OAO "Chashniksky Rayagropromservis" for only a year. The area of agricultural land here is almost 9 thousand hectares, including over 5 thousand hectares of arable land. There is plenty of room to maneuver, as they say, if only there were enough power. Therefore, it is not yet possible to say that this enterprise will be able to provide technical assistance to others. The main thing here is to manage to sow on time and

Прошел год, как Александр Логинов возглавил Глубокскую птицефабрику. Предприятие включено в новую интеграционную структуру. Очевидно, аграрии здесь болеют за свое дело, руководитель старается, чтобы во всем был порядок. Но вот насущный вопрос – где отремонтировать   энергонасыщенный трактор. Из четырех на ходу остался один. Ремонтные работы слишком дороги для предприятия. Николай Шерстнёв дал поручение комитету по сельскому хозяйству и продовольствию облисполкома создать привлекательные условия на Витебском мотороремонтном заводе, чтобы аграрии сами стремились  ремонтировать двигатели у витебчан. Второй вопрос, к которому тоже необходимо подключиться комитету по сельскому хозяйству и продовольствию – сырный цех птицефабрики. 15 лет здесь производят ароматный копченый «Джил». Но рентабельность производства невысока  -  5%. Почему? Ведь частнику «Джил» дает хорошую прибыль. Значит, надо разобраться с затратами.

За низкие привесы и провал в животноводстве пришлось держать ответ директору ОАО «Друцк-АГРО» Анатолию Хадорику. Руководитель попытался объяснить просчеты отсутствием технологической дисциплины. Но председатель облисполкома подчеркнул, что кормов заготовили недостаточно, и потребовал наверстать упущенное и навести порядок.

В ОАО «Кушлики» Полоцкого района вырос хороший урожай картофеля. Одна из проблем – как наиболее выгодно его реализовать. Пока идет закладка в хранилище. Лучшим вариантом директор Федор Завадский называет продажу в российские регионы – ведутся переговоры о контракте с Архангельской областью. Председатель облисполкома поддержал руководителя, но подчеркнул, удержаться на рынке сегодня сложно, в условиях жесткого маркетинга нужно подавать товар лицом.   

О выгоде производства и снижении себестоимости продукции зашел разговор и с директором свинокомплекса

Obviously, the farmers here are passionate about their work, and the manager strives for order in everything. But here is a pressing issue – where to repair a high-powered tractor. Out of four, only one is operational. Repair work is too expensive for the enterprise. Nikolai Sherstnev instructed the committee for agriculture and food of the regional executive committee to create attractive conditions at the Vitebsk engine repair plant so that farmers themselves would be eager to repair engines at the Vitebsk facility. The second issue that the committee for agriculture and food also needs to address is the poultry farm's cheese workshop. For 15 years, they have been producing the aromatic smoked "Dzhil" here. But the profitability of production is low - 5%. Why? After all, "Dzhil" brings good profit to private producers. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the costs.

The director of OJSC "Drutsk-AGRO", Anatoly Khadorik, had to answer for low weight gains and a decline in livestock breeding. The manager tried to explain the miscalculations by the lack of technological discipline. But the chairman of the regional executive committee emphasized that not enough feed was procured and demanded that the backlog be made up and order be restored.

In OJSC "Kushliki" of the Polotsk region, a good potato harvest has been grown. One of the problems is how to sell it most profitably. Currently, it is being stored. Director Fyodor Zavadsky considers selling to Russian regions to be the best option – negotiations are underway for a contract with the Arkhangelsk region. The chairman of the regional executive committee supported the manager, but emphasized that it is difficult to stay in the market today; in conditions of tough marketing, the product must be presented attractively.

The issue of production profitability and reducing product cost was also discussed with the director of the pig complex

«Sorochino» by Oleg Lyolya. The enterprise is part of an integration structure headed by the Polotsk Grain Processing Plant. It is necessary to carefully study the costs of compound feed production in order to reduce the cost of pork, as well as increase weight gain.

And another everyday issue arose at the personnel meeting when appointing Alexander Pasovets as director of the municipal enterprise "Vitraykomkhoz": unprofitable bathhouses. A similar situation exists in the Beshenkovichi district: the bathhouse operates only on Saturdays, and attendance is extremely low.

- There should be no unprofitable enterprises, - says Nikolai Sherstnev. – Bath services should be provided comprehensively, made high-quality and attractive, so that people use them more willingly.

The manager's focus on meeting economic indicators is the main requirement of management in modern conditions.
