The governor's main requirement is to work effectively. This means paying special attention to the growth rates of livestock production, milk quality, milk yield, weight gain of young animals, and stocking density. For example, at the Titovo enterprise in the Miory district, the average daily weight gain of pigs is lower than last year's figures — not even reaching 400 grams. The director explains: the problem is the lack of premises. Nikolai Sherstnev is confident: if the pork production technology were followed, the weight gain would reach 600 grams or more. The requirement for all pig complexes in the region is the same: strictly adhere to the technologies of keeping and raising animals, and prevent livestock mortality.

— And there is no need to build expensive livestock farms, — says the chairman. — Ideal conditions for livestock can be created in old premises. The main thing is that it is dry, warm, and clean. And in open areas using tents, excellent weight gain is achieved in young animals, leading to an increase in the herd. At the same time, if there are no competent specialists in the farm, experienced zootechnicians and veterinarians from the district center and the region are always ready to help.

Reviewing the production indicators of KUPSHP "Bobrovo" in the Lepel district, the governornoticed their negative performance during the management of the enterprise by Vyacheslav Khramtsov. In essence, the director has led the farm to bankruptcy.

— You failed to turn the situation around in six years as director, the indicators are low, and the decline continues. The enterprise is included in the list of farms for which bankruptcy procedures are necessary. Therefore, extending the contract with you makes no sense, — Nikolai Sherstnev summed up.

The work of the head of OJSC "Novoselki-Luchai" of the Postavy district, Yuri Shimchik, was noted positively. The growth of qualitative indicators is pleasing. This farm has great reserves. For example, the average milk yield per cow in 2015 was 4908 kilograms. And in SPC "Larinovka" of the Orsha district - 9345. Revenue per employee in OJSC "Novoselki-Luchai" is 232 million rubles, in SPC "Larinovka" - 716 million rubles. So the Postavy region has something to strive for. The chairman of SPC, Alexander Kukhtenkov, sets an example of effective economics for everyone. And his principled approach to management issues speaks of the main rule of farmers: one must work the land intelligently, calculating every result.
