On intolerance to drugs

The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office is taking a number of measures aimed at fostering an atmosphere of intolerance towards drugs in society, particularly among youth.

Thus, in December 2019, the regional prosecutor's office held meetings on this issue with educators and students of the "Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University", the "Vitebsk State Technological University", the "Vitebsk Order of Honour State Academy of Veterinary Medicine", the Vitebsk branch of the "MITSO" International University, and the "Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov", demonstrating methodological materials.

Previously, prosecutors also held meetings with students in colleges, lyceums, and schools in the region.

At the same time, a collection of informational materials on drug addiction prevention among youth, developed by the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, has been sent to higher education institutions, and through education management bodies, to colleges, lyceums, and schools, as well as to prosecutors, for conducting such work on an ongoing basis in the future.

It should be noted that the prepared specialized collection has no analogues in the republic.

This collection unifies, in an accessible form, information on criminal and administrative liability for illicit drug trafficking, and the consequences of their use and distribution in medical and legal aspects.

Work in this direction will continue.
