On the results of work with appeals from citizens and legal entities

In 2024, the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office received 18 (22 in 2023) appeals from citizens and 18 (16) appeals from legal entities.

In case of detection of violations of the law during the consideration of appeals, prosecutorial response measures are taken.

For example, when considering citizens' complaints and studying materials of administrative offense cases, the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor overturned 2 decisions on imposing administrative penalties.

Also, when considering a collective appeal from enterprise employees, a number of arguments regarding the violation of labor rights were confirmed. During the inspection, a submission was made to eliminate violations of labor legislation and anti-corruption, and the issue of bringing individual officials to disciplinary responsibility was resolved.

In 2024, compared to 2023, the number of considered appeals from legal entities increased from 15 to 16, of which 12 (14) were fully satisfied, and 1 (0) was partially satisfied.

In the past year, the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor held personal meetings at UP "Vitebsk Branch of Belarusian Railways", Vitebsk Branch of State Enterprise "Belaeronavigation", K.S. Zaslonov Locomotive Depot Orsha, Vitebsk Carriage Depot of UP "Vitebsk Branch of Belarusian Railways" and other organizations.

At personal meetings, 56 (24) individuals were received by employees of the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office.

Within the framework of supervision over the execution of legislation on appeals of citizens and legal entities, 3 inspections were carried out, during which violations of the procedure for considering citizens' appeals, including those entered in the books of remarks and suggestions, were revealed. Based on the prosecutor's submissions, guilty persons were brought to justice.
