On the state of work with appeals from citizens and legal entities

As noted at the meeting, the prosecutor's offices of the region pay constant attention to improving the effectiveness of prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of the said legislation in institutions and organizations. This year, such inspections were carried out in enforcement bodies, in the system of the regional consumer union, KUP "Vitebskobldorstroy", in local executive and administrative bodies, law enforcement agencies, and other organizations.

Based on the facts of legislative violations, red tape, and bureaucracy, prosecutors took legally prescribed measures aimed at restoring the violated rights and legitimate interests of citizens, and the guilty parties were held accountable. Heads of local authorities were informed about the state of legality in the sphere of work with appeals in subordinate organizations.

In order to fulfill the important task of the prosecutor's offices to ensure the real protection of the constitutional rights and legitimate interests of citizens and legal entities, the collegium demanded that prosecutors continue to exercise constant and rigorous supervision over the enforcement of the said legislation.

Also, when resolving specific appeals containing information about the infringement of applicants' rights and freedoms, it is necessary to use existing powers to eliminate the violations committed and make decisions based on the maximum consideration of citizens' interests.
