Regional Agricultural Production: Vitebsk region farmers have started harvesting winter barley

As reported by the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee, as of yesterday, 280 hectares have been harvested (the total area for this crop is 14 thousand hectares), 850 tons of grain have been threshed with an average yield of 30 centners per hectare.

The preparation of fodder for the second cutting continues. Grasses have been mown on 12 thousand hectares (8% of the planned area). Since the beginning of fodder preparation, 5.9 centners of feed units per conventional head of cattle have been prepared. The best indicators are from Braslav and Postavy districts – 8 centners of feed units each.
