Regional Agricultural Production: In the Vitebsk region, about 20 young agricultural specialists will be the first to receive a Br1 thousand payment in April.
The decision on an additional monthly payment for three years at the expense of the regional budget was made by the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies on the initiative of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee to provide the agricultural sector with qualified personnel, retain young specialists in rural areas, and increase the prestige of working in animal husbandry.
It came into force on March 1, 2021. "Lists of recipients of the additional payment have already been processed, and now purely technical work is underway to accrue the supplement proportionally to the time worked, as well as taking into account other issues, including compliance with labor discipline. This is very important, because having made the decision to support, we expect not only the retention of a young specialist, but also that he will work with full dedication in production," noted Sergey Egorov. The first payment will be made in the first ten days of April along with wages.
The decision on an additional social support measure applies to young specialists – graduates of 2020 and subsequent years in the specialties "Veterinary Medicine" and "Zootechny". An obligatory condition for receiving the payment is the conclusion of a contract for five years, work in organizations that are part of integration associations formed by Decree No. 70 "On the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Vitebsk Region", as well as the absence of disciplinary sanctions in the settlement month. Funds for these purposes will be provided annually when forming the regional budget. According to specialists, in the future, as the number of support recipients increases, the maximum annual amount of funds required may be about Br2.7 million.
