Regional Health Department: Vitebsk healthcare institutions are gradually returning to normal operation
– The decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 allows for the gradual reintroduction of the usual patient admission regime in the region's healthcare facilities. This work began back at the end of 2021, – said Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Some medical facilities in the regional center and a number of district hospitals are already operating in a normal mode. In some CRHs, there is a phased return of beds or departments to admit patients with non-COVID-19 related diseases.
The Vitebsk City Clinical Emergency Hospital, the Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital, and the urology department of the Regional Clinical Hospital continue to treat patients with COVID pneumonia.
