Public danger of hooliganism
The public danger posed by hooliganism lies in the gross violation of public peace and the inviolability of citizens, causing harm to their health or property. At the same time, acts of hooliganism are often the first experience of criminal behavior, and sometimes escalate into grave and particularly grave crimes against the person or property. The court of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Vitebsk considered a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus against minor K. By court verdict, he was found guilty of committing intentional actions that grossly violated public order and expressed a clear disrespect for society, accompanied by the use of violence against a minor victim – out of hooligan motives, without cause, wishing to demonstrate brute force and superiority over the victim Z., he intentionally inflicted bodily harm, consisting of one blow with a shod foot to the victim's face, thereby causing an abrasion in the chin area, which is classified as bodily harm that did not result in short-term health disorder or insignificant permanent disability. The court sentenced the accused to 8 months of restriction of liberty without being sent to an open-type correctional institution.
