Prosecutor's offices of the region have taken measures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements during the sowing campaign.

Law enforcement officers, together with representatives of agricultural departments, internal affairs bodies, traffic police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, territorial labor inspectorates, as well as other interested parties, participated in relevant raid activities at agricultural facilities on issues of ensuring the safety of state property and the readiness of equipment for field work.

As the inspections showed, far from all farms in the Vitebsk region have started mass field work fully prepared.

The largest number of violations during the preparation and conduct of field work was identified in the farms of the Braslav district. OJSC "Braslavsky Rayagropromservis" was the last to start the sowing campaign due to the lengthy repair of agricultural machinery. Spare parts and repair materials for prompt and timely repair of agricultural machinery were purchased based on equipment breakdowns, which also affected the conduct of field work. In addition, sowing operations were organized in violation of technological regulations. Employees involved in spring field work did not undergo medical examinations.

A control visit to the farms of the Lepel and Polotsk districts revealed a discrepancy between the operational statistical data of the agricultural departments on equipment readiness and the actual number of serviceable equipment in the farms.

The issue of timely state technical inspection of agricultural machinery remains unresolved. Less than 50% of tractors passed the state technical inspection in the farms of Orsha, Dubrovno, and Braslav districts.

All agricultural enterprises are provided with a sufficient amount of fuel and lubricants for field work; however, the safety and accounting of diesel fuel were not properly organized in the farms of Ushachi, Lepel, Senno, and Chashniki districts.

For example, in KUSKhP "Glibochany" of the Ushachi district, the fuel and lubricants warehouse is located on the territory of the mechanical yard in close proximity to the site of open flame and welding work, the parking area for expensive agricultural machinery, and the storage of material assets. Fuel is delivered to the fuel and lubricants warehouse in barrels (cans), then manually poured into a truck-mounted tank for distribution.

fuel. Initial fire extinguishing means are absent, and the fuel and lubricants warehouse register is not maintained.

The Prosecutor of Ushachi District has initiated a check regarding fuel consumption and record-keeping by the Ushachi District Department of Internal Affairs.

The Verkhnedvinsk Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case against a tractor driver-machinist of KUSKhP "Kohanovichi" in Verkhnedvinsk District under Part 2 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, concerning the misappropriation of 1080 kg of seed barley entrusted to him, with a total value of 865.8 Belarusian rubles.

More than 60 agricultural enterprise employees in the region have been brought to disciplinary and administrative responsibility by the prosecutor's office for failing to maintain order at machine yards. Fourteen submissions have been made to district executive committees and heads of agricultural enterprises regarding cases of mismanagement.

Prosecutor's offices in the region continue to conduct checks on compliance with legislation during mass field work.
