The prosecutor's offices of the Vitebsk region demanded the elimination of violations in the use of agricultural lands

The prosecutor's offices of the Vitebsk region have checked compliance with legislation and the effectiveness of the use of agricultural land, including reclaimed land.

The results of the checks indicate significant shortcomings in the work of officials of agricultural organizations and relevant structural units of local executive committees.

The negative trend in the withdrawal of agricultural land from agricultural circulation was facilitated, in particular, by the inaction of officials of agro-enterprises, which led to the overgrowth of arable and meadow plots, including reclaimed land.

Prosecutors have identified numerous cases of non-use of fertile areas in agricultural activities in Lepel, Glubokoye, Orsha, Sennoye and other districts, shortcomings on the part of the land management departments of the Polotsk, Lepel, Dokshitsy, Beshenkovichi district executive committees in controlling the elimination of identified violations by agricultural organizations in the use of agricultural land, as well as shortcomings in land use planning and accounting for agricultural land in use.

As a result, the prosecutor's office of the Vitebsk region submitted a submission to the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee with demands to eliminate the identified violations.
