The agitation train "Unity in Memory. Strength in Feat!", which started on June 15 from Moscow's Belorussky Railway Station, was solemnly welcomed at the railway station in Orsha.
A large-scale rally unfolded on the platform, the main theme of which was the spiritual and historical unity of the two peoples, and the memory of the feat during the Great Patriotic War.
Participants are welcomed by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov, the Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Leonid Moizhik, and the Deputy Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Oleg Moseev.
After an exchange of commemorative souvenirs, rally participants and honored guests will lay wreaths and flowers at the monument to the legendary brigade commander Konstantin Zaslonov and begin an inspection of the exhibition.
The agitation train consists of seven thematic carriages and two platforms, one of which displays samples of military equipment from the Great Patriotic War era. Among them are the legendary T-34 tank, the BM-13 "Katyusha" rocket launcher, and the M-30 howitzer.
The train's exhibitions tell about the fight against Nazism during the Great Patriotic War - from the first days of the war to Victory. Visitors will be shown archival documents, multimedia materials, and museum exhibits.
One of the carriages is equipped as a discussion platform. Here, they will talk about the contribution of the peoples of the Soviet Union to the Victory over Nazism, the feat of the Soviet population in the rear, and genocide.
The carriage features a thematic exhibition "Unity of Peoples. Historical and Cultural Code of Victory". The event is organized by the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of Russia, and the Ministries of Defense of Belarus and Russia.
