Preparation for "Dazhynki-2017": organizational work to define the main activities at the event sites has entered an active phase

The work currently underway in preparation for the regional "Dazhynki – 2017" festival goes far beyond a general cleanup. The scale and nature of the transformations allow them to be viewed within the framework of urban development. In these days, the final touches are being added to the festive image of Dubroŭna, the capital of the main agricultural forum of the Vitebsk region: reconstruction work is being completed, and roads and streets are being improved. Organizational work to define the main activities at the event venues has entered an active phase. This topic became the leitmotif of the next meeting on the preparation for the festival-fair of rural workers, which was held at the regional executive committee under the leadership of the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Uladzimir Tsyarencieyeŭ, with the participation of interested structures.

Over the years of its existence, this holiday has become an event whose significance is not limited to the ideological content, style, and aesthetics of modern Belarusian holidays, or its role in the development of agriculture. All these aspects remain important. "Dazhynki" provides an opportunity for everyone to connect with the traditional values of the Belarusian people, including respect for the working person.

– "Dazhynki" is a holiday for three categories: rural workers, residents of the city and district, and also for numerous guests. All of them should fully feel the solemnity, – Uladzimir Uladzimiravich emphasized.

The Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies is convinced that preparations for the forum should be the concern not only of regional and district authorities. It is a matter of honor for every resident of Dubroŭna and the district to prepare for the holiday and welcome guests with a well-maintained homestead.

Most of the points for the preparation and holding of the festival-fair are purely economic in nature. But there are quite a few that bring a unique flavor to the upcoming holiday: the projects "Traditional Costume of the Vitebsk Region," "Vitebsk Region Festival," "Dubroŭna Welcomes." By the way, the district center will demonstrate its achievements and attractions: guests will be told about its history, famous natives, festival movement, craft activities, etc. Exhibitions of korovai (bread wreaths) and agricultural machinery will be artistically decorated. They will also involve

a row of retail outlets. Distinctive attributes will be set up for the festive mood — art objects, stylized billboards and posters, colorful flags. For the arrival of guests, entertainment programs are also being prepared. Within the framework of the festival, demonstration performances by rescuers will be held. The main symbol of the regional holiday will traditionally be a multi-tiered loaf, baked from new harvest flour, which will decorate the main stage. One of the key moments will be the grand opening of the registry office, a children's playground, and a fountain.

At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Terentyev gave an instruction: at each of the organizational stages, not a single link responsible for the preparation for the holiday should fail. In addition, the head of the region's parliamentary corps instructed the relevant services to resolve issues related to the organization of public safety, parking of transport, and catering. The schedule of delegations' arrivals, the placement of theatrical sites, and the location of city and district brands, etc., must be worked out in detail. The progress of the tasks will be monitored, and meetings will continue.
