Customs classes have appeared in schools in the Vitebsk and Gomel regions
Since the new academic year, six new specialized customs classes have started operating in secondary schools of Brest, Grodno, Vitebsk and Gomel regions, reports BELTA with reference to the State Customs Committee.
A total of ten customs classes have been opened in schools across the country. "While Brest and Grodno regions already had experience in creating similar classes, Vitebsk and Gomel regions have opened them for the first time. Customs classes are created with the aim of strengthening the ties of students with the Belarusian customs, vocational guidance of school graduates for subsequent admission to higher educational institutions of the country for the specialty 'customs affairs', and improving the level of intellectual, moral and physical education of the children," the committee's press service noted.
Excursions to checkpoints, participation in solemn ceremonies of taking the oath by customs officials, as well as meetings with veterans and young employees are planned for students of specialized classes.
