At the initiative of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Regional Executive Committee, a seminar was held on topical issues of criminal and penal enforcement legislation.

At the initiative of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Regional Executive Committee, a seminar was held to discuss current issues of criminal and criminal-executive legislation.

Employees of the regional prosecutor's office and the Internal Affairs Directorate, prosecutors from city and district prosecutor's offices, heads and senior inspectors of criminal-executive inspectorates of territorial internal affairs bodies, representatives of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region, the regional court, the 5th Department of the Main Security Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Center for Psychiatry and Narcology, and other interested state bodies and organizations took part in the training event.

Within the framework of the seminar, the main violations identified by the prosecutor's offices in the activities of internal affairs bodies in the execution of punishments and other measures of criminal liability were considered, and the requirements for pre-investigation check materials containing signs of a crime provided for by Articles 415-417, 421-422 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus were communicated.

The issue of the organization of work of non-profit non-governmental organizations with persons having a criminal record was discussed separately.

Attention was focused on the issues of interaction between healthcare organizations and internal affairs bodies in the compulsory outpatient observation and treatment of persons with a criminal record, convicted under Article 107 of the Criminal Code.

After considering the stated issues, a round table was held with the participants of the training forum. Problematic aspects arising in practical activities on the prevention of recidivism and the execution of court sentences for punishments not related to the isolation of the convicted person from society were subject to discussion.

At the end of the event, the participants exchanged views, noting the high organization and relevance of joint seminars.
