At the initiative of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, topical issues in the field of preventing deaths from external causes were discussed at regional seminars.

A series of training seminars for the heads of district working groups and inspection commissions, and heads of district subjects of crime prevention has concluded at the Gluboksky District Executive Committee.

The training period began in the Orsha District Executive Committee in June of the current year.

The training forums were held in the regions of Vitebsk Oblast on the initiative of the Vitebsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office.

The goal is to improve the quality of preventive work carried out in the sphere of preventing citizen deaths from external causes.

Representatives of the Oblast Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, UP "Vitebskoblgaz", the Oblast Inspectorate of the State Energy Supervision, the Oblast Clinical Center for Psychiatry and Narcology, and other interested parties took part in the seminar.

During the seminar, participants discussed improving the effectiveness of inspection commissions, existing problems, and ways to overcome them.

Separate consideration was given to the activities of OPOP councils and supervisory commissions, as explanatory work with persons released from places of deprivation of liberty, as well as with persons leading an antisocial lifestyle, should be carried out by all subjects of prevention.

After discussing the agenda of the training event, a dialogue platform was held.

The organizers and participants of the seminar are convinced that such inter-district thematic seminars allow filling existing gaps in preventive activities and taking appropriate measures to improve work at the local level in the future.
