Following an inspection by the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the information product was recognized as extremist materials

The Prosecutor's Office of the Vitebsk region conducted a monitoring of information products posted in the messenger

"Telegram" - Telegram stickers for the purpose of identifying violations of legislation on countering extremism.

As part of the inspection, it was established that through the use of the specified Telegram stickers, the dissemination and public demonstration of Nazi symbols and attributes was carried out. Access to this information product was provided without obstacles and restrictions to any person using the global computer network Internet and the "Telegram" messenger.

From the content of Art. 1 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus
"On Countering Extremism" (hereinafter - the Law), it follows that actions aimed at the rehabilitation of Nazism, propaganda or public demonstration, production, distribution of Nazi symbols and attributes, as well as storage or acquisition of such symbols or attributes for the purpose of distribution are extremist activities.

Pursuant to Art. 19 of the Law, the dissemination, public demonstration of extremist materials, their production, publication, storage
and transportation for the purpose of distribution are prohibited.

In this regard, the Prosecutor's Office of the Vitebsk region filed an application with the court to recognize the specified information products as extremist materials.

The court of the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk city on 12.06.2023 granted the application under consideration, and the aforementioned information products were recognized as extremist materials.

A copy of the court decision has been sent to the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus for inclusion of this information
in the republican list of extremist materials, as well as for restricting access to this information product
in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Please note that illegal actions with information products recognized as extremist materials entail liability established by law.
