At the request of the Vitebsk transport prosecutor, funds spent on specialist training were recovered

Graduation for some students is not only a step into adulthood but also a serious commitment. Higher and secondary educational institutions continuously train specialists at the expense of the republican budget. In doing so, students undertake obligations to work for the mandatory distribution period in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus. In case of failure to complete the mandatory distribution work period, they are required to reimburse the funds spent by the state on their training to the republican budget.

It was on these terms that the Educational Institution "Orsha State College of Railway Transport of Belarusian Railway" concluded an agreement for the training of a specialist (worker) with secondary vocational education with N.

The college fulfilled its obligations, and the educational relationship was terminated due to N. obtaining an education. Subsequently, N. was employed under the distribution as a 3rd (third) grade bricklayer. However, after a few months, he was dismissed from the enterprise due to absence without leave.

N. did not fulfill his obligations to work the mandatory distribution period, nor did he agree to reimburse the funds spent on his education.

Following the review of the educational institution's appeal, the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor filed a lawsuit to recover 4,041 Belarusian rubles spent on N.'s education, as well as state duty, for the benefit of the state.

The court granted the claim, and the decision has entered into legal force.
