Activity of the customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus in general and the Vitebsk Customs in particular in 2024 was carried out under sanctions pressure and economic war from unfriendly countries.


At the same time, in 2024, based on the results of the Vitebsk Customs' activities, 40% more payments were received into the country's budget than in the same period of 2023.

The number of registered administrative cases was slightly over 3 thousand, and the value of seized goods increased by more than 2 times.

Also, the efforts of the Vitebsk Customs were focused on detecting and suppressing the illegal movement of narcotic and psychotropic substances across the customs border, as a result of which a number of criminal cases of this category were initiated, and the total mass of narcotic drugs seized by customs amounted to over 190 kg.

More than 10 cases of transporting sanctioned goods in violation of the established procedure were detected, as well as 55 cases of understating the value of passenger and freight vehicles.

Based on the results of the meeting, tasks for the new year 2025 were outlined for the Vitebsk Customs.
