Under the sign «My Native». The regional forum of youth councils is taking place in Vitebsk

Под знаком «Роднае маё». В Витебске проходит областной форум молодежных советов

The main goal of the event is to preserve national historical heritage and traditional spiritual values.

– Working with youth councils contributes to the formation of an active civic position of the younger generation. Today, all conditions have been created in our country for the development of youth potential. The forum became a logical continuation of this systematic work. We placed a special emphasis on the theme "My Native Land" to strengthen the connection of the younger generation with their small homeland through language, history, and joint work. We are confident that this event will become a growth point for new leaders, – noted Dmitry Demidov, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.

For Marina Mironova, a history teacher at Secondary School No. 33 in Vitebsk named after I. Chernyakhovsky, and a member of the Council of Working Youth under the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, the regional forum is not just a platform for communication.

– In the context of the development of the modern Belarusian state, meetings with the regional leadership allow us to transform scattered initiatives of students and young specialists into systematic personnel policy. The forum of youth councils allows us to translate our initiatives into the language of state tasks. Projects are born here, which are subsequently implemented in the regions. Today's forum is an honest dialogue where youth have the opportunity to ask questions of interest to the leadership. Practice shows that after such meetings, youth councils cease to be "paper structures." They become co-authors of state youth policy, where everyone will be heard. For Belarus, where stability and continuity of generations are valued, this is the best investment in those who will build the country's future tomorrow, – emphasized Marina Mironova.
