One of the criteria for evaluating the performance of any government body is the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens. The successful resolution of tasks largely depends on the effectiveness of interaction with the public.

The Vitebsk transport prosecutor's office handles both written appeals from citizens and oral appeals during personal meetings.

In the first half of 2022, the Vitebsk transport prosecutor's office received 13 appeals from citizens and 9 appeals from legal entities. Of the appeals received from citizens, 11 were resolved on the merits, and 4 were forwarded to other authorities.

Legal entities often apply to the prosecutor's office with requests to file claims in their interest for the recovery of debts, as well as damages caused to the enterprise, and the recovery of funds spent on training.

The Vitebsk transport prosecutor's office takes prosecutorial response measures upon identifying violations of legislation based on the results of considering appeals.

For example, when considering an appeal from an educational institution, it was established that a graduate had undertaken to work for a period of compulsory employment within 3 years. However, he was dismissed due to absenteeism. The educational institution sent a notice to E.L. for voluntary reimbursement of funds spent on training, with all supporting documents attached. However, the amount of funds spent on training was not voluntarily repaid.

The Vitebsk transport prosecutor filed a lawsuit with the court for the recovery of funds spent on training from E.L. in the amount of 2,239 rubles.

Complaints about the actions of prosecutors, as well as appeals containing criticism of the work of law enforcement agencies, were not received, and no entries were made in the prosecutor's book of remarks and suggestions.
