Visit to IK No. 1

Employees of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office for Supervision of Compliance with Legislation by Criminal Enforcement and Enforcement Bodies received convicted persons held at the correctional institution "Correctional Colony No. 1" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Directorate for the Vitebsk Region, located in Novopolotsk.

During the reception, questions were received, in particular, regarding disagreement with court decisions in civil and criminal cases, and the application of amnesty acts.

Each of the applicants received appropriate clarification, taking into account the provisions of the legislation, including the procedure for further consideration of specific situations.

After the reception, prosecutors checked compliance with legislative requirements in the correctional institution, including the implementation of established sanitary and epidemiological rules, studied the living and working conditions of the convicted persons, and discussed with the colony administration current issues of serving sentences by convicted persons, the realization of their rights and legitimate interests, as well as the fulfillment of their duties.
