Improving the professional level of young staff is a common task
In June of the current year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, jointly with the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, held a series of training and methodological seminars for young employees of juvenile affairs inspectorates of regional and city internal affairs departments, and prosecutor's office employees.
Three training and methodological seminars were held in the cities of Vitebsk, Orsha, and Polotsk. The peculiarity of these events is that a relatively small number of internal affairs officers participated in these sessions each time, in order to devote as much attention as possible to each of them. Also, at these seminars, individual prosecutor's office employees from the Polotsk District Prosecutor's Office and the Orsha Transport Prosecutor's Office, who supervise the enforcement of legislation on minors, improved their qualifications.
The practice of general seminars was abandoned in favor of a greater emphasis on individual training. In doing so, specific tasks from law enforcement practice were addressed, taking into account the material accumulated by the regional prosecutor's office. It is important that the seminars thoroughly covered issues of interaction between juvenile affairs inspectorate employees and territorial units of the Investigative Committee, courts, and city/district prosecutor's offices in the prevention of offenses and crimes committed by minors.
The training and methodological events were attended by V.O. Yanchin, Head of the Department for Organizing the Work of Juvenile Affairs Inspectorates of the Prevention Directorate of the Main Directorate for Public Order and Prevention of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus; A.G. Rukol, Head of the Public Order and Prevention Directorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee; A.V. Volkov, Senior Assistant to the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor for Supervision of Legislation on Minors and Youth; and judges of the courts of the Orsha and Polotsk regions.
