Congratulations of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor on May 9

Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War,

respected colleagues!

Please accept our heartfelt and warmest congratulations on the great and sacred holiday for all of us – Victory Day!

This day is dear to all of us because it is a piece of the personal history of every family. This holiday embodies the hard-won pain and greatness of our people, the courage and heroism of the Soldier-Victor, the tears of loss and the joy of reunion, the happiness and hopes of peaceful life.

Millions of lives, hard labor, and endless losses were paid for the Great Victory. Decades pass, generations change, but the Great Victory, as a symbol of national pride, military glory, and valor of our people, remains forever inscribed in the heroic chronicle of our country!

On May 9th, veterans and young defenders of the Fatherland stand in the same ranks – children and grandchildren of those who defended the freedom and independence of our Motherland, the dignity and honor of wives and mothers, the right to a bright and peaceful future for our country.

To our great regret, with each passing year, fewer and fewer participants of the Great Patriotic War remain. And today, our task is to do everything possible to ensure that every grain of historical truth about the war is carefully preserved and passed on to the younger generation.

We are sincerely grateful to the surviving veterans for their support and cooperation, for their wise advice and assistance in educating the youth. May peace and well-being always be in your homes. Prosperity and well-being to you and your families. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you good health and long life!

May this bright May holiday forever remain in our souls as a source of pride for our fathers and grandfathers – the victors, filling us with warm joy and the desire to live and work for the benefit of our native Vitebsk region!
