Practical aspects of supervising the enforcement of legislation and the legality of legal acts, legislation on combating corruption, and on the procurement of goods (works, services) were discussed at the regional prosecutor's office

An educational and methodological seminar on "Practical Aspects of Supervising the Enforcement of Legislation and the Legality of Legal Acts, Legislation on Combating Corruption, and on the Procurement of Goods (Works, Services)" was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Representatives of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control, the Main Financial Department of the Vitebsk Region, and the Main Department of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region, as well as employees of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and city/district prosecutor's offices, took part in the seminar.

During the seminar, participants engaged in a lively discussion on methodologies for conducting inspections of anti-corruption legislation enforcement, as well as legislation on the procurement of goods (works, services). They were informed about the requirements of antimonopoly legislation pertaining to the procurement of goods (works, services), highlighted typical violations committed by economic entities in the sphere of procurement using budget and own funds, and analyzed innovations in antimonopoly legislation. The Deputy Head of the Main Financial Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee elaborated on the conceptual framework of budget legislation.

The second part of the seminar was dedicated to the organization and implementation of prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of legislation in the economic sphere, the agro-industrial complex, and compliance with labor legislation.

Significant attention was paid to the practice of the Vitebsk Regional Economic Court in considering cases arising from lease relations, as well as specific aspects of supervisory activities in administrative proceedings.

The participants of the meeting exchanged work experience and discussed problematic issues in the exercise of prosecutorial supervision.
