Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Rogozhnik congratulated combine harvester Denis Pshenny on reaching a thousand tons of grain harvested
30.07.2026
The first record of the current harvesting campaign has been set in the fields of Vitebsk region: the thousand-ton mark for grain harvesting has been officially conquered! The absolute leader of the harvest and the first "thousand-tonner" in the Vitebsk region is combine harvester Denis Pshenny from OJSC "Mayak Vysokoe" of the Orsha district.
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Rogozhnik came to the field to honor the grain grower. Such attention right at the workplace is the highest assessment of hard labor on the land.
The head of the region presented the harvest leader with well-deserved awards, emphasizing that it is thanks to such a high level of skill, dedication, and devotion to his native land that the food security of the entire country is ensured.
– Honoring agricultural workers is an important event for the entire region. At the heart of any success lies human labor, and on the land, it requires a special calling. That is why deep gratitude to the agrarians must be expressed at the highest level. These are amazing people who sincerely love their land.
An example of such professionalism is the honored machine operator – Denis Pshenny: he has a wonderful family, raises beautiful children, has decent working conditions, and a high level of payment. This is a clear proof that everything is in our hands. Regardless of the region of residence, a conscientious attitude to work is the key to well-being and prosperity, – noted the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Rogozhnik.
High praise was also given to the new harvesting equipment. New domestic combine harvesters are in no way inferior to imported counterparts. To personally ensure their quality, the chairman of the regional executive committee himself took the controls and spoke with the machine operator.
Just 30 years ago, such machines were only a dream, but today domestic production is producing world-class equipment.
As for the progress of the harvesting campaign, the harvesting of winter barley is currently nearing completion, and rapeseed has been harvested by 75%. Favorable weather contributes to increased yields, which allows us to expect that the final grain harvest figures this year will exceed last year's results.
This year, the leading worker had new powerful equipment at his disposal, which greatly helped to achieve high results. The combine operator himself speaks with enthusiasm about his new domestic flagship GOMSELMASH GH810:
– Working on such a machine is a pleasure! – the farmer does not hide his emotions. – I hooked up the nine-meter header, entered the field, and just had to keep track of how the grain was coming in. The 450 horsepower is more than enough, the machine moves confidently even through dense stalks. It threshes gently, and the grain in the bunker is perfectly clean. And unloading – in just a minute or two, and back to work! Navigation and automation are a separate topic. I turned on the auto-steering, and the GPS accurately guides the machine line by line, centimeter by centimeter. No overlaps, missed spots, or unnecessary passes, no need to manually adjust the steering wheel. You sit and monitor the process through the screen, and the system itself adjusts the operation to the flow. And all this without feeling almost any fatigue throughout the shift. The cabin is quiet, sealed, and dust doesn't get inside at all. The air conditioner maintains coolness, and the seat on soft pneumatics ensures a smooth ride without shaking. You sit in absolute comfort, control such a behemoth with ease, and by the end of the day, the harvested amount is pleasing.
For many years, Denis Pshenny has maintained his position as one of the most efficient machine operators in the region. The secret to his success is simple and clear: a responsible approach to work, careful handling of equipment, and a sincere desire to harvest all the grown grain to the last kernel, without losses and within tight deadlines.
It is noteworthy that Denis's loyal partner and support during this busy season is his own brother, Evgeny, who also works at OJSC "Mayak Vysokoe" and achieves excellent results. This family team of the Pshenny brothers has long been a true pride not only of the Orsha district but also of the entire Vitebsk region, proving that work ethic and unity always lead to great victories.
