Elena Nefedova has been elected as the Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association
"It is necessary to maintain a high level of events implemented in our region," Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov advised the new trade union leader. "In particular, this includes working with employers to create comfortable, proper working conditions, and providing social and material support to people in need. It also involves the active implementation of various forms of mentorship, so that young people joining work collectives are not left to fend for themselves. I am confident that the dynamic development of the trade union movement and the personnel appointments being made will only contribute to improving the quality of the trade union's work."
"The work is not new to me. The task set is also clear. We have a good, established team and a strong trade union active membership. But the main goal of all public associations is to preserve the peace and stability of our society," emphasized Elena Nefedova.
Former trade union leader Yuri Derkach congratulated his successor on her appointment and thanked everyone present for their joint work:
"Together, we are doing a great deal to improve the quality of life for working people and their families in the Vitebsk region. For this, I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone. I believe that the new chairperson and her team will do everything to make the Vitebsk region even better."
