Representatives of Belarusian and Russian mass media are taking part in an international press tour dedicated to the preparation and holding of the jubilee XXXV International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk".
The first stop is the main concert venue of the forum – the Summer Amphitheater, which has undergone the most large-scale reconstruction in recent years. Journalists and bloggers appreciated the new spring-loaded seats, the updated roof, and learned about its lighting, which will be integrated into the scenography, creating a beautiful picture for both the audience in the hall and TV viewers.
Participants of the press tour also contributed to the improvement of the venue – they planted flowers, which, as sung in the festival song, bloom in July. They also started the countdown of the "Festival Calendar". Each pre-festival day will be filled with various events.
This year, the festival cornflower on the "Slavyansky Bazaar" logo has bloomed on a boat. Participants of the press tour also went on a voyage, albeit on a motor ship along the Dvina River, and learned the latest news from the festival shores. In particular, about the fact that this year "Slavyansky Bazaar" is going out to the regions for the first time. The "Cornflower Tour," which includes "Festival Karaoke with a Star," an exhibition-sale of goods from Belarusian producers and artisans in the style of the art forum, will cover five cities in Belarus. Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexey Guida took part in the press conference.
Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexey Guida noted that the city is beginning to transform:
- We are actively preparing for the upcoming holidays. We will start with City Day, then celebrate Independence Day. After that, the most important festive event will begin – the famous "Slavyansky Bazaar in Vitebsk." A large number of participants, artists, and spectators are expected. We are inviting many official guests, guests from different countries.
The program also includes a visit to the Ilya Repin Museum-Estate "Zdravnevo," where the festival's exhibition program will be presented, a tasting of the "Festival Set," which includes traditional Belarusian dishes, an excursion to the night festival venues, and a presentation of the "On Seven Winds" street art festival program.
