Representatives of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office held receptions for convicts held in correctional colonies of the region

Representatives of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office held receptions for convicts held in correctional colonies No. 1, 3, 8 of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region, located in Novopolotsk, Orsha, and Vitebsk District.

During the reception, individuals approached prosecutors with various questions, including disagreements with court decisions in civil and criminal cases, and the application of amnesty acts.

Each applicant received appropriate clarification, taking into account the provisions of the legislation.

After the reception, prosecutor's office employees checked compliance with legislative requirements in correctional institutions, including the implementation of established sanitary, hygienic, and anti-epidemic rules, studied the living and working conditions of convicts, and discussed with the leadership of the colonies current issues related to the serving of sentences by convicts, the realization of their rights and legitimate interests, as well as the fulfillment of their duties.
