Direct telephone line with Vladimir Penin: the range of issues remains unchanged, most are related to the work of housing and communal services and the condition of roads

Several calls from Vitebsk residents concerned heating. A pensioner living on Chkalov Street complained about the heat in her apartment. After the heating was turned on, the air heats up to 28 degrees. The woman is forced to open windows and the balcony, and due to drafts, she catches colds. Appeals to the housing management led to nothing; according to the pensioner, they answer that they cannot reduce the heat, as other apartments would freeze.

And indeed, they are freezing, though in another part of the city – in a house on Frunze Street.

– It was cold for us last year, and this year I walk around the apartment in a coat, I bought felt boots so my feet wouldn't freeze. We have appealed to the housing and utility services so many times. Plumbers come, look, but the radiators don't get any warmer. Help us, – asks a disabled woman.

Vladimir Petrovich took these appeals under his control and promised to sort them out in the coming days.

The complaint of a resident of a house on Mark Chagall Street in the regional center requires a comprehensive review. He is concerned about the night noise created by visitors to the cafe "Galereya" which opened at Lenin Street 16-a.

– Cars arrive late at night, turn on loud music, make noise. We have called the police more than once, law enforcement officers arrive, but everyone has already left. I'm not asking to close the cafe, but let it work at least until 11 p.m., not all night, – says the man.

He can be understood, but how to curb the youth who drive around the city at night in cars and park them in courtyards with speakers turned on at full power? And not just near this cafe.

It is also not easy to resolve the dispute between the residents of the villages of Malyye Lettsy and Shevino, on the one hand, and the "Lettsy" sanatorium, on the other. The latter has fenced off its territory with a fence, and now people are forced to walk from one settlement to another along an unlit road, taking a long detour. This issue has already been raised, but Vladimir Penin promised to return to it again.

A resident of Orsha expressed dissatisfaction with the operation of the unified dispatch service number. An accident occurred in his mother's building – a pipe burst. The 115 phone was constantly busy; the woman only got through after half an hour, and during that time, water flooded several apartments.

“It is necessary to separate the numbers of the housing and communal services dispatch and the emergency service, or to debug the mechanism so that a person can get through quickly, instead of listening to busy signals for an hour,” the man believes.

A reader and the hero of our newspaper's publication, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, Ivan Klimentyevich Kuryakov, appealed to the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee. The 93-year-old veteran asks to install a covered pavilion at the bus stop in Ruba. People have to get wet in the rain while waiting for the bus. In response to his previous calls to various authorities, he was promised that a pavilion would be installed in 2020. What should he expect? Ivan Klimentyevich asks. Vladimir Penin has taken the veteran's appeal under his control.

Among the issues that were received during the three-hour direct line were poor street lighting in the agro-town of Yassno, Miory District, and damaged roads to the settlements of Kravtsy and Bruyki, Gluboksky District, among others.

“The range of appeals does not change; most are related to the work of housing and communal services and the condition of roads. People do not contact us with global problems that would affect the majority of the population. But for a specific person, minor issues are important; they bother them and create inconvenience in their lives. Some of them can be resolved, while others require serious consideration. However, one should not think that if you call the direct line, everything will be done as the person wants. When responding to any appeal, we act within the framework of the law,” noted Vladimir Penin.
