The number of pressing issues raised during direct lines is decreasing. This was stated today to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, following a three-hour direct telephone line with the region's residents.

A total of 20 calls were received during the direct line from residents of the regional center, Polotsk, Vitebsk, Orsha districts, Senno, and other regions of the oblast. A significant portion of the issues had already been voiced by applicants during other receptions and direct lines held by representatives of government bodies. Checks were carried out on these issues, detailed explanations were provided to the applicants, and various solutions possible within the framework of current legislation were offered. According to Nikolai Sherstnev, the number of pressing issues is decreasing with each session. "On the one hand, this is good. But the issues that are regularly repeated from one direct line to the next, are redirected to meetings with deputies, etc., unfortunately, are often raised again and take up airtime absolutely groundlessly. They have already been thoroughly studied at the local level, where all possible solutions have already been offered to citizens. And I deeply regret that people who truly have a real problem, a misfortune, cannot get through," stated the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee.
