In the first half of 2017, at railway transport facilities, employees of the Orsha Department of Internal Affairs for Transport identified 1376 administrative offenses, including 4 cases of petty hooliganism, 466 instances of drinking alcoholic, low-alcohol beverages or beer in a public place or appearing in a public place while intoxicated, 621 instances of smoking tobacco products in prohibited areas, 196 instances of walking on or being on railway tracks in an unauthorized place, 14 violations of railway crossing rules, and 9 cases of petty theft, one of which was committed by employees of the Orsha locomotive depot.


For example, on 12.02.2017, around 02:00, security guards of the Orsha detachment of the Belarusian Railway's Military Guard detained two fitters for rolling stock repair from the Orsha locomotive depot who were attempting to steal 80 liters of diesel fuel drained from rolling stock that was in the workshop for maintenance check-2.

These depot employees were brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 10.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty theft). The transport prosecutor issued a representation to the head of the locomotive depot, as a result of which the noted shortcomings in the preservation of fuel and lubricants were eliminated, and the guilty parties were disciplined.

On 25.02.2017, around 00:30, security guards detained an unemployed resident of Orsha on the territory of PMS-78 who had stolen 103 rail braces weighing over 540 kg, valued at 364.82 rubles, from a platform located on the enterprise's territory, which was supposed to be guarded.

The transport prosecutor issued a representation to the head of PMS-78 to eliminate violations of legislation on property preservation, as a result of which 4 employees of the enterprise were disciplined.
